We Didn’t Start the Fire

Gearing up for the launch of Firelight Protocol? While we’re putting the finishing touches on the protocol, we’re inviting our community to participate in We Didn’t Start the Fire, an X and Discord-based campaign that gives you the opportunity to complete engaging tasks to earn exciting rewards.

In exchange for participating, there are a range of rewards on offer including special Discord roles, exclusive merchandise, and early access to the protocol. The campaign runs from September 22, at 10 AM ET to October 6, 2025 at 10 AM ET.

Throughout these 2 weeks, we’ll track your progress with a live leaderboard on Discord, so you can see how you fare against other members of the community. This is your chance to be a valuable member of the Firelight community and earn tangible rewards for your support.

Overview of Firelight Protocol

Firelight Protocol is a universal staking layer designed to ignite a new era of DeFi services around non-yield-bearing tokens, starting with XRP. The protocol addresses a critical gap in the XRP ecosystem: while liquid staking has driven explosive growth on other networks, XRP has remained largely untapped for staking yield due to limited DeFi use cases on XRPL. In Phase 1, early XRP stakers will be invited to deposit FXRP into a vault. As an added incentive, participants earn Firelight Points to reward their contributions. In later phases, token holders will be able to stake their tokens into Firelight and earn real yield, anchored in economic utility.

Firelight Protocol is incubated by Sentora and Flare Network, who are the main contributors to its IP and development.

How to Contribute

The campaign is built to reward originality. Submissions will be judged on both the depth of your understanding of the protocol and the creativity you bring to it.

All entries must be shared in the relevant channels within the We Didn’t Start the Fire 🔥 category on Discord. Here you’ll find spaces to share and track creative contributions.

So whether you’re a meme master, educator, videographer, or a mix of all three, here’s how you can participate and start earning points:

• Design visual explainers that break down key aspects of Firelight’s architecture, drawing on insights from our Medium articles and X posts. Share your creations on X, then drop the link in the #infographic-hub channel under the We Didn’t Start the Fire category on Discord.

Points: 5 per Infographic

• Create memes that explain or highlight key aspects of Firelight and share them on the #meme-wars channel on Discord.

Points: 5 per Meme

• Invite new members to join the Discord community. Request your referee to drop a message confirming your referral on #referral-program on Discord.

Points: 15 per Referral

• Publish videos ranging from in-depth tutorials, question and answer style videos, or simple explanations about Firelight. Share these on X and drop the link to your post in our #video-library channel on Discord.

Points: 15 points per Video

All submissions will be reviewed by the Firelight core team. We’ll be awarding the most creative and impactful entries with extra points and recognition on Discord

Getting Started

Head to Discord and find the We Didn’t Start the Fire 🔥 category. Submit your entries in the relevant channels and track your progress in #leaderboard, which will be updated daily.

You can participate in as many ways as you’d like. The more you contribute, the more points you’ll earn! In addition to participating in the campaign, stay active on Discord chats.

Terms and Conditions

1. We Didn’t Start the Fire will run between Monday, September 22 at 10 AM ET to Monday, October 6 at 10 AM ET.

2. A valid and original Discord account is required.

3. Points will only be awarded for original content aligned with Firelight’s documents and the campaign guidelines.

4. Points tracked on a leaderboard on Discord will be visible on the public leaderboard in Discord.

5. In the event of a delay due to technical issues, rewards will be redistributed within 30 days following the event’s conclusion.

6. There are no restrictions on the number of participants who can join the competition.

7. Participating in the campaign does not guarantee a reward; all decisions are final and at the discretion of the Firelight core team.

8. Participation in botting, cheating, or submitting duplicate entries will result in immediate disqualification. Use of multiple accounts is strictly prohibited and will lead to forfeiture of any rewards.

9. This campaign is intended solely for community engagement and does not constitute financial advice or an investment opportunity.

10. The Firelight team reserves the right to amend these terms at any time and retains final authority over the interpretation of all rules and outcomes related to this event.
