Firelight Staking on SparkDEX: The Next Generation of XRPFi, Staking, and DeFi Innovation on Flare
SparkDEX is proud to announce the integration of Firelight staking into the SparkDEX UI. A major milestone for Flare DeFi, the integration brings together state-of-the-art DeFi coverage, a new iteration of liquid staking, Flare’s rapidly expanding XRPFi vertical, and SparkDEX’s high-performance super-dApp. With Firelight’s staking function live, users can put their FXRP to work, earn rewards, and contribute more meaningfully to Web3’s most innovative Layer 1 ecosystem than ever before.

Firelight: DeFi Coverage Built for Flare
Firelight is a DeFi coverage protocol that enables FXRP holders to stake their assets to provide protection for DeFi users across the Flare ecosystem. In return, stakers earn rewards and receive stXRP, a liquid staking token that represents their staked FXRP position. Much like SparkDEX’s LST platform, Firelight is designed with ecosystem liquidity in mind, as it gives users an opportunity to take their stXRP elsewhere in Flare DeFi.
SparkDEX V4 is proud to be the first platform to support Firelight FXRP staking, opening a new avenue to deepen Flare ecosystem liquidity while providing much needed coverage to DeFi users on Flare.
Pioneering DeFi Innovation: Liquid Staking Meets XRPFi
As an established DeFi and infrastructure provider evangelizing the Flare tech stack, SparkDEX is dedicated to driving native DeFi innovation. By bringing its own liquid staking solution to market with
SparkDEX LST and stFLR, SparkDEX has already enabled users to stake FLR to validators securing Flare’s network while retaining a liquid staking representation of their position to leverage in DeFi. While SparkDEX LST dissolves the tradeoff between Flare’s broader network security and DeFi activity, Firelight serves a similar service to FXRP holders. On Firelight, liquid staking now extends beyond validator participation to enable ecosystem-wide DeFi coverage powered by FXRP. As Flare’s liquid staking capabilities expand, integrations like Firelight reinforce a border philosophy that all capital — especially that which contributes to network security, and DeFi coverage — should not take away from deep, liquid market dynamics that strengthen ecosystems, support new entrants, and instill confidence in users.
Like for all DeFi innovation on Flare, SparkDEX and Firelight are making sure XRPFi isn’t left behind. XRPFi is an integral component of Flare DeFi, and it will continue to be layered into robust use cases and DeFi infrastructure as they take form. Securing Flare-native DeFi coverage with FXRP marks yet another innovative instantiation of XRPFi, and SparkDEX is proud to be actively bringing Firelight’s vision into practice.
Most importantly, with Firelight’s DeFi coverage driving Flare-native innovation and XRPFi taking its next steps forward with stXRP, SparkDEX is moving into the broader role it was built for. SparkDEX’s Firelight integration marks the beginning of SparkDEX’s next chapter as a full-fledged Flare ecosystem evangelist — building high-performance DeFi, driving technical innovation, supporting crucial infrastructure, and contributing to network security.
